Tension Wheel - Available in Black or Brass The Tension wheel is a unique beast and when properly used it is a handy tool. When improperly used it leads to frustration and surly language In order to use it effectively the lock needs to be either mounted or in a vice. Light tension - seriously light tension - Start in the half bar section and rake the lock. Then release the tension. If no pins dropped Increase the tension another half. If you could hear pins drop then you are in the right tension zone. Apply that same amount of tension and begin picking. It also helps when teaching lock picking - tension control can be difficult to describe to a student. With a marked Wheel you can see the amount of tension being applied and recommend a Zone. The SPARROWS Night School Set Everything you need to learn how to lock pick in a convenient case. The Night School set comes with 4 lock picks, 6 tension wrenches, 3 cut away practice locks and one case. The lock pick set is the same as the Kick Start but with molded handles. For the locks you have all left-hand or right-hand cut aways, each with different styles of pins. The outer design might be different than what you are used to but these locks function and pick just like any other pin tumbler. The cut away locks cover standard pins, serrated pins and spool pins. The spool and serrated are high security pins. Cut away locks have a window that lets you look at the pins as you pick the lock. Learning the inner workings of a lock is instrumental if you want to successfully open locks using picks. SPARROWS WAFER PICKS Wafer Picks are a great addition to any lock pick set. Wafer locks are often found on cabinets, tool boxes and jewelry cases. Unlike the standard pin tumbler lock a wafer lock consists of single piece wafers that must be arranged to proper heights allowing for the plug to turn. This is very different than a pin tumbler lock where the pin is in two sections requiring it to be lifted and set at the sheer line inside the lock. Due to these differences a different style of lock pick is need to pick these locks. The Sparrows WAFER PICKS are made from the same high quality steel as all of our ofter picks. Join the SPARROWS crew for a three day prison sentence in Carson City Nevada this SEPTEMBER 11-14, 2025 Get ready to be apart of a the most immersive hands on training session ever held. TO PREVENT OVERCROWDING SPACE IS LIMITED SO COMMIT TO YOUR SENTENCE NOW! The 2024 event sold out quickly. Over the course of several days prisoners will be led through several different training tracks that will cover: Lock picking Breaching Impressioning Safe and Vault manipulation SERE ... including resistance training Vehicle Extraction with TNT RESCUE Tools Night Vision training and Lock Picking Bypass tools Safe and Vault drilling Vehicle Work Desert Survival Prison Tattoos CQC with former Navy SEALs Hostage Negotiation for intel Gathering OPTIONAL RANGE DAY - with SHOT GUN breaching and lasers All of these skills will then be put to use on the final day as participants are placed into Tiger teams and assigned multiple tasks in seemingly real world environments. All courses are taught by experts within their field. Including former RECON, SEALs, CRAIG, CIA, WMD (SRT), those who have won international competitions. Yes training will be held in a real prison that was in active use from 1862 until 2012. It has a processing area, Maximum security, General population, Full Yard, warden's office, Medical, Solitary, kitchen, and a Gas Chamber. It will be a wild immersive long weekend. More details Sleeping - Your staying at the Plaza hotel but don't plan to sleep very much. You have two options you can select a room with two queens OR you can select NO Room. If you select NO Room you will need to organize your own accommodation for Rock'A Lock'A Bang! Bang! Eating - The hotel comes with a breakfast and we will be hosting BBQ lunch and similar for dinners. Drinks - Yes. We have been Sponsored by SKULL HAWK Whiskey again and we will also have the local craft beer at times. The prison will also have coolers with water. Where - Carson City Nevada just outside Reno ..... The Prison does not go to you ... you go to prison! So either you drive to Carson City or you fly to the RENO Airport Drive - Carson City is a 30 min drive from Reno and about a 4 hour drive from San Francisco, or 7 hours from Las Vegas. FLY - We will run shuttles from RENO Airport (Code RNO) to Carson City. You can easily fly direct to Reno from Dallas, Chicago, NY, Las Vegas, Orlando, Los Angeles. From there we pick you up in a shuttle and drive 30 minutes to the hotel. PRISON - The prison is in a mothball state and does NOT have heat, A/C or running water. The time of year should make the temperature agreeable but bring appropriate clothing. We will have coolers with water on site. Porter potties will be set up for washrooms. A- Yes, the SERE portion will be provided in three sections. Each more immersive and intense than the last. You will require instructor approval to move forward to new sections. Its up to you have far you go Q- What is Shot Gun Breaching? A - Its the delicate art of opening doors with with BOOM sticks. Q- What is Hell Night? A- Search SEAL's Hell Week. Q- Does Nevada have legalized prostitution. Asking for a friend. A- Yes it does. But we are not organizing your conjugal visits. You will have to go to the local brothels on your own. Q - I see the option to book a hotel room or NOT book a room? If I don't add the room will I be homeless? A - Yes, If you do not select the hotel room option you will not have a room to sleep in at Rock'a Lock'a Bang! Bang! and we will let you sleep in the desert. If you do not select the room option you will need to organize where or with who you are staying. We organized the sharing of rooms last year and it got weird .... so you're on your own this time. Q - This sounds fun and intimidating at the same time. I once saw a documentary on prison life and the episode "A hard day" makes me hesitate a bit. A - Roack'A Lock'A Bang! Bang! will be the highlight of your year. Friends, locks, adventures and a prison .... so perk up you little bitch this is going to be fun. Q- Is the prison Nice? A - Its fantastic, horrific and huge. It has a history of, escapes, murders and even shoot outs with guards. Its also in a mothball state so it has a lot of functioning elements including the locks. What it does not have is heat or air conditioning. This is an open air prison. So we have timed Rock'a Lock'a Bang! Bang! to have favorable weather. Q - Will be be drilling real safes?? A - Yes , we will have several real safe onsite for drilling and cracking. Q- What happens if I need to cancel? A - Life can change pretty quickly. The "Offset Hybrid" is a combination of a shallow hook, and a rounded half diamond. The wedge-like point and specially rounded bottom edge slides through the keyway. With the pick acting as a centered fulcrum you will find that this pick has extremely smooth and controlled lifts. This is critical for locks like ASSA. The "Triple-Peak" is used on the withdrawal stroke and is one of the most effective rakes available. It differs from a traditional rake in the way it functions by using a "ramping" effect similar to bumping. Similar to the double peak with different spacing.
