IDEA Chest Rig

A classic example of an idea that was born spur-of-the-moment in the meeting room and escaped. The proposition was simple, "What if we made the DIY IDEA Rig from Escape from Tarkov but made it not suck?" A few months later and the realization that you can't get the official Tarkov rig anymore and here we are. What we did different was start from scratch but keep the soul of the IDEA rig intact — It's the same poly composite tarp fabric as a certain swedish furniture store's iconic totes (but far thicker and sturdier), and the rig carries the classic motifs right over from the game. Then, we moved on to improvements. The silhouette of our rig is inspired by the more contemporary "Chicom" style webbings on the market with it's octagonal base panel and 4 mag cell configurations. The OG was much larger, more awkward, and with no magazine retention. The mag cells snugly carry standard capacity mags from AR & AKM platforms with ease, and anything similar in size to those will work too. The shock cord retention was much needed as the original rig had almost comically loose pouches, and we added extra-large tabs to move the shock cord easily even with the use of thick gloves. The pouches have added reinforcement with our custom-run "IDEA" webbing nylon for added durability. Lastly, the nylon for the shoulder harness and back strap is extra-wide and more comfortable than this wacky rig has any right to be. One size fits most here, we based it off measurements of our best-selling surplus & new production chest rigs. The result is something so high quality we can barely laugh at its hilarious looks. Developed during a time of canvas and metal fittings the SADF's "Pattern 83" brought new materials like Cordura, Velcro, nylon webbing, and plastic buckles to the forefront of military kit. It went on to inspire chest rig designs for generations to come... Including our own. In 2021, we took it upon ourselves to do a major redesign inspired by the original to give it the upgrade it deserved, which we then dubbed the "Pattern 84" chest rig. Since its introduction we've used our rig extensively in order to figure out what design improvements we would like to implement. Most importantly, this iteration focused on customer feedback first. Multi-Platform P84 features heavily reinforced magazine pouches with elastic retention, overbuilt closures, and ample drainage.Fully compatible with magazines from nearly every semi-automatic rifle in common use — no inserts or addons needed. P83's shape was large enough to allow errors during manufacturing, but even with modern tech we used its footprint as the basis for P84. For 2.0, We decreased the overall height dimension of the chest rig without compromising on the size of any of the pouches or useable MOLLE Space. The main mag cell flaps now feature an angle-cut at the bottom to reduce snag hazard and frankly just look a whole lot cooler. We ditched the "Pen Flare" pouch taken from P83 and mirrored the multitool pouch to the other side for much more utility & extra storage. Whether you’re suited to the slavic-chic look, live in the northern wastes, or just want to rile up PETA, our fresh batch of Ukrainian rabbit fur ushankas is just what you’re looking for. Directly translated to “ear hat,” the ushanka is an iconic piece of Eurasian fashion, known for its incredible warmth in sub-zero temperatures and for blocking fierce Arctic winds. The ear flaps feature simple ties for fastening under the chin in harsh conditions or folding the flaps up out of the way for comfort and hearing. No matter what, you'll be looking straight out of Stalingrad when you pair this up with your favorite greatcoat or parka - the more fur the better. Made from 100% former rabbits, these ushankas are soft, weather-resistant, easy to spot clean, and exceptionally warm and cozy. These aren't the cheap fish fur substitutes issued to Soviet conscripts... Fur color may vary on ushankas. Specs Genuine Rabbit Fur Made In Ukraine Diffuses cold Siberian wind and keeps you warm like hug from babushka Deployable "Ears" that can be tied up or worn down. Fur color varies SizingOur Ushankas are, for the most part, true to size. Ushankas fit slightly tighter when the ears are tied upright, and slightly looser when the ears are deployed down. A Note on Resizing Since these are made of real rabbit fur instead of some kind of horrific synthetic imitation, it's simple to embiggen the ushanka's circumference without damaging it or compromising its warmth or weather-repellent features. This method will allow you to expand the ushanka 1-2 sizes. Put the earflaps down and wet the inside perimeter of the hat. Seat the ushanka over a bowl, ball, pot, or other spherical object slightly larger than the ushanka. Probably don't use your head for this unless you're ready to be uncomfortable for about 2-3 hours. Wait for the moisture to evaporate. Remove the ushanka. It should be slightly larger and undamaged. If unsuccessful, try more moisture and/or a slightly larger object.

British 'Green Zone' DPM Field Shirt

'Green Zone' is our proprietary desert DPM dyeing secret formula that gives it a fresh, green look that you can mix and match with all your favorite gear. As far as we're aware, nothing else like it is available on the market, and thanks to our reactive dye techniques (more on that in the "Dyeing process" section) it stays colorfast for many, many washes to come! In 2025, we've also begun to do all the dyeing in house, with several successful runs of "Versengtarn" flecktarn dyeing and "Wellenbrecher" tropentarn dyeing behind us. What's DPM? DPM, or Disruptive Pattern Material has seen use across countries in many theatres since the 1940s (mainly in those associated with the British Commonwealth). It was also infamously used by the Irish Republican Army during The Troubles. Desert DPM, which is what we started out with, was extensively used in the Gulf War, operations in Afghanistan, and is still used today in many parts of Sub-Saharan Africa. Optimized for the completely arid landscapes of the Arabian gulf, it's sandy tones blended in well to sand, but not much else... The field shirt's mechanical design also has a long history with only minor changes being applied over its service. The phrase "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" certainly comes to mind. It's become a long-time staple of surplus inventories worldwide. Dye or Die As several conflicts raged in the middle east during the 90s and 2000s, the shortcomings of the iconic pattern shone, with many troops resorting to DIY dying their issued garments in the field to make them more versatile in a pinch. British Troops worked with what they had hastily dyeing their Desert DPM to better match the environment of the 'Green Zone' of Afghanistan. Some examples turned out worse than others, becoming overdyed in the process. Results were mixed and commonly ended up in wild shades of turquoise and emerald green. The MoD eventually saw the shortcomings of DPM. With the Helmand province's characteristically un-Afghani greenery, it posed a death sentence to troops marching in with their bright tan fatigues. They got to work on several experimental camos based off of their existing DPM to replace the tried-and-true DPM but ultimately, these camo trials were a long process that the troops couldn't afford to wait for completion. The result was very similar to OCP/Multicam, with many of the brush stroke like elements of DPM remaining present, and the MoD dubbed it "multi-terrain pattern" (MTP). It was miles better than what was currently fielded, but ultimately seemed like too little too late for some of the troops on the ground. As MTP slowly started to replace DPM, a very small amount of field-overdyed surplus came and went on the market, and astute collectors slowly pieced together the odd story of the MoD's experimental era. 'Green Zone' As said, there are genuine field-modified articles ranging from turquoise, navy blue, and other colors floating around on the used market - but they're incredibly scarce, and we think the idea is cool enough that we wanted to pay proper tribute. We wanted to take the original goal of the forces in the Green Zone and do it how they would have wanted it — A new pattern, better suited for a wider range of environments. The 'Green Zone' colorway takes desert DPM into the tropics with a fresh coat of green, while keeping the disruptive pattern intact. When the genuine dyed ones originally hit the market, they even got some reputation as streetwear in the UK much like M81 Woodland did stateside. Now, you might even catch some sportswear brands ripping the DPM pattern and changing the colors a bit for fashion... Specs 30/70% poly/cotton mix. Dyed, re laundered, and QC'd in-house by KommandoStore! Two front 7.5" x 8" pockets. Button fastened (Some may Include Zipper in addition to buttons) Collar button to pop collar for various practical and egotistical uses. Cuff tightening buttons. Strap on the front for attaching rank tab. May feature Union Jack on shoulder or other unit patches. Sizing These field shirts are measured in cm using height and chest circumference. The sizing intervals are decently far apart, so you may want to round up or down depending on how you want the shirt to fit (tight like a shirt, or looser like a jacket). Dyeing Process The unique coloration results from a special dyeing process applied to each DPM desert donor shirt. Unlike standard "over-dyeing," we use a reactive dye which only binds to cotton fibers. This leaves all nylon fibers in the body of the shirt itself undyed, seen easily in the striped pattern of the ripstop fabric. As a result, the color will not leach or fade. Post-dyeing, your shirt is clear of residual chemicals, freshly laundered, and ready for use. As a bonus, as you can guess, the re-laundering makes it even fresher than freshly imported surplus! Condition Shirts are in excellent to unissued condition with no blemishes, stains, rips, or tears. Dye color is unique to each shirt and may slightly vary. Inspect product photos carefully.

Bundeswehr Schneetarn Overwhite Jacket

Dating all the way back to the 60s, "Schneetarn" (Literally snow camouflage) is designed specifically to be used in very snowy terrain. The added "pine needle" splotches break up the white backdrop allowing for concealment in the likely scenario that the wintery wonderland you're hiding in isn't 100% snow-covered. It's surprisingly simple for the Germans, but it works wonders. Featured here on "overwhites", the idea is that soldiers can throw these garments over the top of all the rest of their gear, so a full additional set of winter-camo-colored kit isn't needed. We all love the woodland patterns of the 80s and 90s, even weird ones like Polish M93 and Belgian Jigsaw. But what if you wanted a more modern cut or fabric that doesn't have thirty years of surplus stank? Welcome Turkish Woodland. That's right, a new production, actually adopted by a military, woodland camo from 2018. What the heck even is that? Thought to be rushed into production after the 2016 coup-attempt, this pattern appears to be an arid recolor of French CE woodland applied to modern uniform cuts. Effective in temperate and arid woodlands, this Turkish Woodland camo is effectively a surplus resto-mod, perfect for camping, hunting, mil-sim, and messy desert politics. Modern Coziness, Vintage Blend This stout parka offers four zippered front pockets, a zippered shoulder pocket, and a removable zippered, quilted, woobie-like liner cozy enough to be worn on its own as a smoking jacket. A hidden hood keeps your noggin dry and warm, and an inside chest pocket keeps your DMs close to your heart.
