Discovered on an Indian reservation in Washington, this mid-season artichoke-type, softneck variety is a national taste-test winner. With its pleasing rich flavor and medium pungency, it's easy to see why it won the prize. Produces good-sized bulbs with large cloves. Stores well for 6-9 months. Artichoke-type garlic, like Inchelium Red garlic, are some of the easiest garlic varieties to grow. Like other softneck types, it can be used for braiding. Harvest inchelium red garlic in the summer after its leaves have turned yellow-brown. Approx. 12-20 cloves per bulb.
